If you're already a registered member, you may have noticed that your profile has an empty field: Country. To add your country (now a required field upon registration) to your profile go to "My Account" --> "Edit" --> "Bio" and select your country from the pull-down menu. We've included everybody! Also, when you visit the WirelessU Members page, you now have the option of viewing all the members by a list. List view allows you to sort members by name, country, or date. Lastly, the members list viewing permissions have also changed: Only authenticated (logged-in) users may view the Members page. |

Today Rob Flickenger and Steve Okay presented a paper on Very Long Distance WiFi Networks at NSDR 2008 (a SIGCOMM 2008 workshop). The paper was co-authored by Carlo Fonda, Ermanno Pietrosemoli, and Marco Zennaro, and detailed their experiences with very long distance (100 km or greater) wireless links. |
