This lecture is a theoretical introduction to the "spread spectrum" technology, with simple examples to understand how it works. It discusses the difference between SS and narrow-band radio, and between direct sequence and frequency hopping SS. There are also two short appendixes on Antenna Basics and Power Budget Calculation.
