This track is part of WALC2011, the ICT training for Latin America and the Caribbean organized by EsLaRed since 1998

The objective is the training of participants in the use of tools and techniques for installing, maintaining, securing and upgrading wireless data transmission networks. The workshop concentrates on solutions that are low-cost and affordable for the implementation of long distance links of small organizations. Both WiFi and WiMAX solutions will be covered, as well as an introduction to Sensor Networks.

Those participants with an adequate teaching experience and enough motivation, will obtain the necessary formation to become instructors in courses based on the "ICTP/ITU Wireless Training Kit"
